Members

The 8th Air Force Historical Society of Minnesota has about 325 registered members, including World War II veterans from the 8th Air Force, the 9th Air Force, the 15th Air Force, the Naval Air Corps, and the Marine Air Corps. The general public is also invited to join. Memberships have been granted to a number of interested men and women who were not involved in war, but who enjoy history and the stories of our veterans.

About 40 - 60 of our registered members are actually active and attend the weekly luncheon at the Knights of Columbus hall in Bloomington.

The 8th has an annual Christmas dinner at Mancini's Char House in St. Paul, held the lst Sunday in December at noon. This year at the celebration on December 6, there will be room for 125 people to attend. The MC will be local news anchor Stan Turner. The Grace Notes, a regional singing troupe of three women, will entertain us with songs from the WWII era in a style similar to that of The Andrew Sisters. The price of the dinner is $24. To reserve your seats forward a check to Al Anderson, 16220 Crystal Hills Drive, Lakeville, MN 55044.

A list of active members is available upon request. A justified need for the list must be provided. And each request will be judged on its merits by the organization's leadership. To make a request for a list of active members, contact lsagstetter@ymail.com.
